Meet The Designer

Amy Spingle Interiors is a residential interior design studio serving Ottawa, Montreal, and surrounding areas.

I’m Amy, Principal Designer and Founder. I work with clients who want homes that feel considered, functional, and deeply personal, spaces that support everyday life while still feeling elevated and cohesive.

My approach is rooted in how a home is actually lived in. I take time to understand how you move through your space, what you’re drawn to, and what isn’t working, then translate that into a design that feels intentional, layered, and lasting.

Clients often come to me for clarity as much as aesthetics. My role is to bring structure to the process, refine the direction, and ensure every decision works together as a whole, from layout and materials to furnishings and final styling.

education & experience

I hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Algonquin College and a DCS in Interior Design from Dawson College. I also hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, which continues to inform how I think about space, behaviour, and daily rhythm within the home.

Alongside my studio work, I have also worked as a stylist on an HGTV production, an experience that strengthened my editorial eye and deepened my understanding of how to bring spaces to life on camera and in real life.

Beyond Design

Outside of work, I gravitate toward simple, restorative moments. Quiet evenings, good films, time with family and friends.

That sense of ease is something I always try to bring into my work. A well-designed home should feel natural to live in, not something to manage, but something that supports you.

Work With Me

Designing a home well is never just about finishes or furniture. It’s about how a space supports the way you actually live day to day.

I take on a limited number of residential projects at a time so each one gets the depth and attention it needs, from early planning through to the final layers that make a space feel complete.

My work spans full home design, renovations, new builds, and furnishing projects. Each project begins with understanding how you want your home to function, then shaping every decision around that.

If you’re planning a project and think we might be a good fit, the first step is to share a few details. From there, I’ll review your project and come back to you with next steps — let’s make it happen!
